Hi everyone!
So we are in isolation, but that does not mean that the work stops!
There are paper copies available in school, but if you, or a family member, can't get into school to pick one up, you can use the resources here.
ENGLISH:
- Follow this link for daily English lessons. Year 6 Oak Academy
- It is a video with some work to complete afterwards. You can use your homework books to record your learning.
- In 2 weeks, I also expect you to finish your reading book, no matter how large it is. I also expect you to have read at least 3 Bug Cub Books.
MATHS:

- It is a video with some work to complete afterwards. You can use your homework books to record your learning.
- I expect you to access Hit The Button or TT Rock Stars every day, to improve your times table knowledge.
SCIENCE:
- The same link for English & Maths (Year 6 Oak Academy), will also supply you with Science work. It is not our science focus, but it wont hurt to learn about solids, liquids and gasses.
- You can also use the Science hyperlinks on the Y6 main page of our school website, to learn as much as you can about Light. Please make a poster of all the things you learn about Light whilst in isolation.
Design &Technology:
- In our DT, we are learning about engines, cogs and wheels and using them to create a model fairground ride. Here is a link to a site which will teach you all about how gears, pulleys and levers work. Levers and Pulleys
- I would like you to take a look at this site and then design a fairground ride, using them. It could be a Merry-go-Round, a Big Wheel or even a Helter Skelter.
- There is DT work on the Oak Academy site, but it does not link with what our class is doing, but feel free to have a look.
- For your computing work, I would like you to develop your research skills. This can be completed through the research you are doing in History (Civil Rights) . If you want to type parts of your work up to be part of your research, that would be great too.
HISTORY:

- In order to develop your History skills while in isolation, I would like you to complete your History Project. If you cannot remember what to do, there is a copy of the Project sheet on the main Y6 page.
RE:
- In RE, we are learning about the Judaism.
- Judaism is the religion of Jewish people and I would like you to use the following websites to learn as much as you can about:
-Jewish Beliefs
-Jewish Food
-Jewish Customs
- Here are the websites you could use: The School Run, Primary Homework Help, BBC Bitesize
SPANISH:
- In Spanish, use your logins to access language angels, and work through the next 2 lessons. In your homework book, draw a poster, showing all the new language you have learned. Here is the link: Language Angels
PE:
- Please try some of the Joe Wickes PE lessons, by following this link. Please make sure that, if you try these activities, you do so in a safe space where you can't knock anything over and that you tell the adult you live with first!! Joe Wickes PE
