Spring Term

This term we will be doing lots of hard work to welcome in 2023 and continue to expand our knowledge of the world

Monday - Our PE will be on a Monday afternoon. Don't forget your kits!

Friday – Reading records are to be handed in to check that home reading has been completed (3x a week)

Friday – Spelling test and new spellings handed out ready for the next week.

Each half term the children will also be given a ‘Home Learning Project’. This is a variety of activities that relate to the current topic.

Remember, we are here to help and there is no problem too small!

In Geography, we will be exploring the equator and the tropical regions found around it.

We will be focusing on where it is found, why it is where it is and what it means to the landscape, climate and available resources

Snow day activities
Good morning Year 5
I hope you are all warm and safe. While you are all warm and cosy in your house there are a few activities you can have a go at!
1. TTRS - I have set a competition between the class to see who can score the most throughout the day
2. Research the equator and any countries that are along it. You can present this in any form (using google slides, creating a poster)
3. Complete the countdown challenge below - Remember you can only use each number once but you can use any of the four operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
4. Research a dangerous place in the wild - We will be writing our own survival story so you will be able to make yours even more amazing with the extra details about the wilderness
