Reading
Children in Year 3 are expected to read their reading book at least 4 times a week to an adult and their reading log needs to be signed. If your reading log is not signed by an adult we will presume you have not read. Reading is also counted as homework, so if children fail to read at home they will need to spend break time reading. There will be rewards for children that are reading consistently.
Please bring reading logs and reading books in regularly so that they can be updated. Thank you

Maths
TT Rockstars
In Year 3 we will be using TT Rockstars to help them recall and practise multiplication facts. Children should also be logging on TT Rockstar's as much as they can and practice their times tables. Their login details will be in the front of their reading log so they can practice at home. Some weeks children will be asked to complete TT Rockstar's as their homework so if your child can't log on please let us know.
Pupils review previous learning in Year 2 and build upon this knowledge to:
•identify and describe the functions of different parts of flowering plants.
explore the requirements of plants for life and growth.
investigate the way in which water is transported within plants.Geography
Year 3 will be learning about Water, weather and climate.
Pupils will describe and understand key aspects of physical geography, including climate zones, biomes and vegetation belts, rivers and the water cycle.
