Welcome back to Summer 1 (2023)
I hope you all had a restful Easter break and enjoyed some quality family time and maybe an Easter egg hunt or two.
This half term the children will continue to take part in daily maths and phonics sessions in small groups, building their knowledge and understanding and making links with other areas of the EYFS curriculum.
The theme this half term is zoo animals and they will have the opportunity to read non fiction as well
as the story called 'Dear Zoo', which includes a letter asking for a pet, most of which are not appropriate.
Now that Winter is well and truly behind us and Spring has sprung around our garden the children will be encouraged to notice features in the environment such as trees, flowers and insects appearing.
This half term also sees us celebrating 'The King's Coronation', which will involve a small, garden party, hopefully in our garden weather permitting!
Please remember the Foundation team are always here to help and are on the door every morning and at the end of the session for a chat. If you require a longer conversation we are happy to arrange an appointment at a suitable time.
