During the Summer some of the children at Cathcart Street Primary School worked with an Artist to create a piece of art in the form of a 'Globe'. This was part of the National project called 'The World Reimagined' whereby 103 unique globes were created across the UK exploring the history, legacy and future of the 'Transatlantic Trade' in enslaved Africans through the work of incredible Artists.
Along with Artists, schools and local communities produced 'Globes' to go on display at local venues. Cathcart Streets globe is currently situated in the Bloom Building, Abbey Close, Unit 1, Birkenhead, CH41 5FQ. It will also feature alongside other Globes from the Liverpool city region at St Georges Hall on 18th October 2022 for a day whereby members of the public can view them from 12noon.
