Important Information

PE

We will be taking part in PE on a Tuesday and you MUST have your PE kit ready for then. A reminder of the PE kit information is;

  •         Black shorts/leggings/tracksuit bottoms
  •         White top
  •         Black Pumps

*Remember all of your clothes need to be labelled so that we don’t have any mix ups*

 Homework

In Year 3 you will receive 3 pieces of homework every week. These are Maths homework, English Homework and Spellings. All three pieces of homework will be handed out on a Friday. Homework is due on a Wednesday but children that bring their homework in on a Monday will receive extra house points!

*Any children who have not brought in their homework by Wednesday will be expected to stay in at break or lunch time to finish it with no exceptions*

Reading

Children in year 3 are expected to read their reading book at least 3 times a week to an adult and their reading log needs to be signed. If your reading log is not signed by an adult we will presume you have not read. Reading is also counted as homework, so if children fail to read at home they will need to spend break time reading. There will be rewards for children that are reading consistently.

*Reading logs will be checked every Monday*

We will be learning about lots of exciting things over the coming half term. You can find these topics below. Our main topic is in our creative curriculum where we will be exploring the Anglo-Saxons.
