Cats Club Closure

11th July 2017

Dear Parents and Carers,

Re: Cats Club Closure

The financial viability of Cats Club was discussed by the Governing Board on 5th July.  After careful monitoring of the income and expenditure of the club, and the reduction in numbers of Cathcart Street working parents, the Board made a decision that as of July 2018 the club will cease operation.

We realise this will come as a disappointment and inconvenience to many of you, but this regretful decision has been made as the cost of the club can no longer be subsidised from school funds.

Therefore we wish to give parents plenty of notice, so that alternative arrangements can be made.  Pupils with existing places will continue until July 2018, or sooner if you decide you no longer wish your child(ren) to attend.  However, we will no longer be accepting new places.

The final date that the club will be open will be Friday 13th July 2018.

From September 2018, we plan to offer a breakfast club to Cathcart Street pupils from 8:30am at a cost of £1 per day to include a light breakfast of toast or crumpets and a drink. In addition, we will continue to offer the free after school homework club to Cathcart Street pupils on a Tuesday and Thursday.

If you wish to discuss this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely,

Deborah Richards (Mrs)

Headteacher
