We will launch the Cathcart Street Reading Week on Monday 26th September which will feature a number of events throughout the week.
We will be inviting parents into school to take part in our Big Breakfast Reading Sessions to learn about how we teach reading in school. We will providing teas, coffees and bacon sandwiches so please come along. Please see below for a list of class reading sessions.
In addition, the children can take part in our annual 'extreme read' project whereby pupils can bring in a photograph of them reading in the most unusual (but safe!) places. Prizes will be awarded during assembly on Friday for the most imaginative photographs.
On Tuesday, children can come to school dressed as their favourite character from a book.
